Windows 10: Slow Snipping Tool Performance - Win 11 vs. Win 10

I am a long-time user of the Snipping Tool for Win 10. Now that I have switched to Win 11, I find its much slower and, in a few ways, it's limiting, and I can't work fast. For example: Once you acquire my screen grab it takes a while to open the captured window to populate, and it delays my ability to paste. Also, I may need to highlight something within my screen grab before pasting it. Now, once I highlight, I need to click on the "Copy" button to copy the highlights before pasting. This adds one more step in the process and takes too long vs. Win 10. Thoughts or Tips?

Upgraded from win 10 to win 11 and no screen recording in snipping tool

I am an IT Admin for our agency and our problem is that state government network blocks all users from the Win Apps Store. All of the workstation that have been upgraded from Win 10 to Win 11 snipping tool has no screen recording. The Snipping Tool is version 11.2201.12.0. The Windows version we are running is Windows 11 Enterprise (10.0.22621.3155). I can find no way to get the snipping tool up to the latest tool (like my home computer which has Win 11 Pro's snipping tool with the screen recording function--Win 11 Pro version 10.0.22631.3155). I can't seem to find a way to get our users' snipping tool up to 11.2312.33.0 which is the version of my home computer running Win 11 Pro. Would this be the difference between Pro and Enterprise?

Snipping Tool WIN 11

I have a Windows 11 user who is unable to use the Snipping Tool .

The app will launch and she can snip the screen, then there is no preview of the snip and there is nothing in the Screen Shots Folder where they are set to be saved.

I have updated her PC to the latest version of Windows 11.

I have removed the App and downloaded again from the MS Store.

When I sign into her PC as myself (Domain Admin) the snipping tool works correctly.

I am convinced the issue is with the user profile.

I have limited access to the machine, but when it becomes available I plan to:

Run System File Check sfc/scannow

Check the users folder for any Temp folders and delete contents

Can you please suggest anything else for me to try?

Please try this:

Step 1:

Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

Click Reset,

Click Repair.

Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

Step 2:

Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

Step 3:

Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

• Windows Push Notifications System Service
  
• Windows Push Notifications User Service
