Windows 10: Yellow lock icon on Files

Hi,Files are stored on different partitions D Drive of the same hard drive. Recently I've reset the laptop and only reset the OS partitions C Drive.Once reset is done, some of the files inside the D Drive has the yellow lock icon and cannot be opened, moved, or copied.I've tried all the steps such as take ownership of the files, decrypt files via Advanced Properties and decrypt files or folders using Command Prompt. Without any success.Any other suggestion to resolves this issue is much appreciated. Thank you.

Remove yellow/blue sheild icon from shortcuts


After upgrading to Windows 10, some desktop shortcuts have UAC shield icons. Is it possible to remove them?





EDIT: Here's a solution...
Launch the shortcuts via CMD:

1. Right-click the shortcut to Properties
2. Click Change Icon, then click OK when its window pops up (necessary step to avoid losing the icon)
3. Add the following, plus a space, to the beginning of the Target field, leaving the existing path at the end:

   cmd /c start ""

I had previously solved this by editing a system icon file, but that method doesn't seem to be working as of update 1607, plus it was a lot more trouble.

 

tiny yellow locks on music files

a lot of my music files in my itunes folder have spontaneously gained the tiny yellow lock on their file icons so now they will not sync with my ipod

how do i removed these?

i have messed with sharing settings and permissions but they don't seem to change at all

 

Windows 10 Lock Icon


I am having issues being able to paste files into a folder that has a lock icon on it. I am not the owner of the folder, my boss is. I am using Windows Pro 10 and my boss is using Windows 8.1. I can open files contained within the folder but cannot paste files into the folder. I have opened properties and gone to the security tab and I am listed within the Group or user names list and my permissions are all at allow. Any suggestions?
