Windows 10: Onedrive desktop files disappeared. How should i fix it?

Dear Microsoft Support Team,I am writing to report a concerning issue with my OneDrive files. After not using my computer for approximately two and a half weeks, I discovered that all files stored in my OneDrive Desktop folder have completely disappeared.While the files under my Documents folder remain intact, everything that was specifically in the OneDrive Desktop location has vanished from my local computer. When I check my OneDrive backup online, I can see some of the files, but several important documents that I recently created are also missing from the cloud backup.I have not deleted th

OneDrive Personal has disappeared from File Explorer

I have a OneDrive Personal Account. This used to be listed in the list of files and folders in File Explorer. It still is on my HP desktop running W11, but has disappeared from my W10 HP laptop. I've tried the 'Restore your OneDrive' instructions, but they don't seem to relate to my particular problem, i.e., they seem to be to restore deleted files, etc, not to make OneDrive appear in the folder list in FE.

[I also have a Office 365 OneDrive from work. That is still listed ok.]

Quick update. This fixed it for me:

I suggest you to try resetting OneDrive and check if it helps you in resolving the issue. To do so refer the steps below:

Be aware that resetting OneDrive re-syncs all your OneDrive files, which could take some time depending on how many files you’re syncing.

• Press the Windows key + R to open the Run
  Window.
• In the Run Window enter the following:
  %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
• Click OK. The OneDrive system tray icon on the desktop should disappear and re-appear after a minute or two.
• If the OneDrive system tray icon does not re-appear after a few minutes, do the following. In the Run Window Enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.
