Hello, I was stupidly trying to set up User Account Control settings, with zero experience using them, for a single User, but apparently accidentally applied the setting to ALL accounts, including my main account with Administrator privileges. The ONLY allowlisted app is Firefox, and I cannot access regedit, UAC settings, or any other app besides Settings. It tells me, "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." However, I AM the system administrator. I am running Windows 11 Pro version Insider Preview 10.0.2620

Operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect

Hi All

I logged on as Administrator on a PC and did a change in group policy to allow certain programs to run for users.

My thinking was that this will not affect the Administrator Account.

Now I want to go back to group policy but then I get the message Operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect.

In fact the message appears for all applications that I did not include in the list.

Help needed in getting to undo this setting.

This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer.

Due to a separate issue I went to use the Event Viewer App and was greeted with the following error:

"This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer."

This error also pops up when I use attempt to use the following Windows Tools:

- Event Viewer

- Component Services

- Computer Management

- Local Security Policy

- Performance Monitor

- Print Management

- Services

- Task Scheduler

- Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security

My Windows version is Windows 11 Pro.

I do not remember messing around with any sort of settings that would have placed these restrictions on my PC.
