Bought the wyze camera online and waiting to receive it. Im getting very conflicting info on this. Do i need a micro sd card or not? Also i read online that max is 32gb but some ppl in the reviews say a 64gb would work but you have to reset it or something?


I only bought the camera and not micro sd card because someone said its not necessary. However, someone says it only records 12 second videos... then stops for 300 seconds... then records the next 12 second video. Thus if you want it to record continuously for longer than 12 seconds, you cannot do this without the microsd card? If this true? If that is true, then how is not getting a micro sd card absolutely necessary? What confuses me is with this camera if it notifies me of motion detector, i can now get a live feed of whats happening right? Thus i could view everything that going on for as long as my camera is plugged in to outlet? But if its recording i want to watch in future, i cant watch more than a 12 second feed or something?

When i have the 32gb micro sd card in it, there is that weird sound and not the sound in the video that it works. Not only that, when i look at the back of the wyze camera while the micro sd card is partially inside, the lights are flashing from blue to orange over and over again. Also when i view the wyze camera from my iphone, it keeps on authenticating but does not work.


So does this mean my micro sd card is broken or damaged? Or is it uncompatible?


This micro sd card was put inside an old android smart phone for years and i just took it out right now.


When you put in the microsd card, it should fit in without you putting pressure on it right? Because i did not want to put much pressure into it.


I took the microsd card out and now the camera does not even work. It keeps on connection attempt many times and finally i got it back to work. It use to keep blinking blue but not its blue light.



But could this microsd card not fit for this camera? It doesn't seem to go in... unless i try and pushing it in? I don't want to do any damage to it.

Hi i already just got the wyze camera earlier. It seems decent.


Few questions. I have an old micro sd card 32gb that was bought over 6 years ago that i found inside an old phone of mine in the microsd card.
