Windows 10: SAS user Profile/ folder under windows/users blocking upgrade to Win 11

I'm trying to delete a user Profile SAS, but it will come back after restart.background: I'm trying to update to windows 11 from win 10. During the upgrade this profile SAS has file locked/being used by system and blocking the upgrade another similar question but not the same: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/584124/how-to-fix-the-windows-11-update-failure-0x800707e. From the above similar question, I need to find a way to delete this profile for me to upgrade to Win 11.I have tried to delete this profile in Safe Mode as you can't delete it normally as Sys

User Profile Service failed

To resolve your concern, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Copy the Default folder (in C:\Users) from another windows 10 computer.
• Rename the Default folder to something like DefaultOLD (just to keep it for safety reasons).
  
• Paste it in your Users folder.
• To make sure that you won't have problems with permissions of the "implant" folder, just transfer it via a FAT/FAT32 formatted USB stick (those filesystems don't have permissions).

This will provide solution to the error User Profile Service failed.

Request: Block User List

If you go to the users Profile in the User List drop down there is "Add to Ignore List". Not sure that covers PM's or the whole forum in general.

 

Blocking and Allowing a Certain Program to a User in Windows 10

• Do you want to block the access of files & folders for the other user profile?

You can give permission for accessing/denying the files/folders on a drive to a user profile by setting appropriate permissions on the operating system.

To block the permission of the other user profile to access the files & folders, I suggest you to follow the steps below:

  Press Window logo + E keys on the keyboard and click on
  This PC located on the right hand panel of the screen.
  
• 
  Open the drive where the application files are located.
  
• 
  Right click on the application file and select Properties.
  
• 
  Click on the Security tab of the window and click on the user profile name to deny access to under
  Group or user names.
  
• 
  Click on Edit button and give permissions accordingly to the user profile.
  
• 
  Click on Apply and OK.
  
• 
  Close the window and check if the changes are effective.
