Windows 10: Windows 11 has problems with Fullscreen Games

I have a problem since Upgrading to Windows 11, ever since I did that playing Games in Fullscreen or Windowed Fullscreen is nearly immposible. My GPU utilization is on 80-100% depending on the Game when i have it on Windowed the moment i enter Fullscreen it drops to 10% and my gets choppy and has 30 FPS even though i had 200+ on windowed mode. I have tried disabeling Fullscreen Optimization i have reinstalled Windows, I repaired Windows, i have reinstalled all my Drivers. I have reinstalled my games. I am out of wits.I dont know if its a Problem but my games and programs are on a different Dri

Fullscreen mode problem

I did a clean boot and I was able to run it in fullscreen. At first it was minimizing the game at fullscreen and I had to click on the icon to bring it back on screen. After a few clicks the game seemed to run in fullscreen without any problems.

The problem is caused by NahimicService.exe which has something to do with audio drivers of Sonic Studio, applications wwhich are included in ASUS and MSI Motherboards.

There are many Official Forums of those Brands that suggest to uninstall Realtek drivers.

 

When i click lmb while in any game is in fullscreen mode, the game app window disappears for a second and then reappears.

1. Update Graphics Drivers:
   
   Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. You can do this by visiting the website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) and downloading the latest drivers.

3. Check for Background Apps:
   
   Some background applications might interfere with fullscreen games. Try closing unnecessary applications, especially those that might have overlay features (e.g., Discord, GeForce Experience, etc.).
   
4. Adjust Game Settings:
   
   Sometimes, changing the in-game display mode from fullscreen to borderless windowed mode can help resolve such issues. This can be found in the game's video or display settings.
   
5. Check for Windows Updates:
   
   • Go to "Settings" > "Windows Update" > "Check for updates".
     
6. Run the Game as Administrator:
   
   • Right-click on the game executable or shortcut.
     
   • Select "Run as administrator".
     
7. Disable Overlays:
   
   Overlays from applications like Steam, Discord, or NVIDIA GeForce Experience can sometimes cause issues. Try disabling these overlays to see if it resolves the problem.

Windows 10 1709 (16299.309) has somehow disabled 'Fullscreen' in games.

I recently updated to 1709 and have found that games no longer have access to fullscreen mode.

Most games force me directly to Windowed mode, and no longer list Fullscreen in the enum. Some games still allow windowed fullscreen. Games that list the standard Fullscreen typically crash or post an error when I swap to that mode.

The only thing that has changed on my system is my OS version, and I've been using an otherwise identical setup for gaming for years.

Since updating windows, I updated my video drivers, which resolved nothing. Sadly I just passed my 1 week window to undo the windows 'upgrade'.
