Windows 10: My ethernet/LAN port on my newly built pc just stopped working after like 1 or 2 hours

Hello I recently built my own pc after owning a pre-build roughly 5 years but anyways I install windows and get though the set-up and I am downloading programs and I was beginning to start downloading windows when the connection just dies.wired so I unplug and re-plugged the ethernet nothing then i run windows troubleshooting Ok so what does this error mean?i google it takes me down a rabbit hole full of different command prompts so i do nearly all of the commands and none work but i get more errors which are as follows the stuff covered are all wifi errors and are not the ethernet errors i

LAN Port stopped working suddenly

Hello everyone,

I came home yesterday to find that my PC in my specs had no Internet connection. I narrowed it down to be the PC itself and not any cables/modem/router etc. Now I went ahead and tried uninstalling and installing the LAN drivers again but it doesn't detect a LAN port.

At this point it gives me an error message and states that the Realtek Ethernet Controller could be in "Deep Sleep Mode". To connect the cable to get it going. However cable is connected and verified to work.

I've googled intensively and have tried many suggestions such as certain command prompts, registry edits, special permissions, and different methods of installing the drivers.

Is my LAN Port dead, or something else might be the issue? Please note we did have a power outage yesterday as my other PC had also restarted like the one with the problem did. The second PC is perfectly fine though. Any other suggestions and/or advice? Thanks in advance. *Toast :toast:

Ethernet Port has been stopped working after the Windows update ( July 26, 2019 - KB4505903). Kindly Help me to resolve this issue. I have tried almost every troubleshooting steps lyk Driver update, uninstall and reinstall the driver, system restart, Bios
Update. ) . It was working fine before the update but now wifi is working but Lan port is not working. Even lan port light also not blinking. kindly help.

Issues Connecting Newly Built PC to Ethernet

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section but I'm having issues getting my newly built PC connected to the Internet. I have an Ethernet cord plugged into my modem and into my PC but Windows is not detecting a connection. Any help is appreciated.

If this is of any help, my MOBO is an MSI Z97 Gaming 5.
