  1. Windows Boot manager failed to boot

Recently my laptop started having issues whenever it woukd randomly freeze up and show "Windows boot manager failed to boot", and also a few times during startup. I followed a few past guides and tutorials in an attempt to fix it, but so far it's not gotten any better. My OS is Windows 11, lenovo ideapad 3 slim 3 14", and I'm not sure what caused this, I did a hardware scan and it says there's no issues there so I'm actually confused now. My biggest suspicion is when I accidentally copied a program I downloaded into the C drive, or if it was the most recent windows update, but I am still unsu

  2. Windows Boot Manager - Windows failed to start

    Hi yorkyukI'm

The following suggestions are described by another moderator regarding your problem where it was solved by following the steps below

The error message Windows boot manager boot failed appears if the Master Boot Record is corrupted. The most common reasons why a Master Boot Record will be corrupted are malware infections and improper shutting down of your computer. For us to assist you, we
suggest that you repair the Master Boot Record of your Windows 10 computer. Here's a simple guide that you can follow to do it:

Press F8 while booting the system to go into the Windows Recovery Menu.

    Click on Troubleshoot.

Click on Advanced options to get into Automatic Repair menu.

We need to use the Bootrec.exe tool. Click on command prompt and type in the following commands, one after the other:

    bootrec /RebuildBcd

    bootrec /fixMbr

    bootrec /fixboot

bootsect /nt60 SYS or bootsect /nt60 ALL

Exit and now go ahead and reboot your system.

We highly recommend that you backup your Master Boot Record or create a System Recovery Disk so that in case something like this happens you don’t have to run the Windows Recovery Disk. To create a system recovery drive, just follow the steps listed below:

    Press the Start button.

    Type RecoveryDrive.exe.

    Click Next

Once you insert the USB drive, it will start creating the Recovery on your USB drive.

  3. Windows boot manager

There could be some system conflict triggered after the said changes. To help you with your concern, we suggest that you perform a clean boot. A
clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This will help to determine what is causing the issue on the Windows boot manager. To do this, click on this
link and scroll down to the
How to determine what is causing the problem by performing a clean boot section then follow the steps listed..

Note: If the installation is successful and the issue has been resolved. Please go through the section “How to reset the computer to start as usual” to reset your computer to the normal startup.

Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested steps.

Windows Boot manager failed to boot

    Boot Manager Is Missing

You need to use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment. For that you need to boot into Recovery Environment and perform a "Startup Repair". If that fails then boot into WinRE again, and go to the "Command Prompt" and execute this command:

    Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

Restore boot manager when it is missing or compressed
Use Bootrec.exe in the Windows RE to troubleshoot startup issues - Microsoft Support
