Windows 10: Hyper-V / Windows 2016 Standard Console Login Issue

I am looking for some direction on an issue that has started with one of our Hyper-V VM's.The Hyper-V host is 2022 Data Center, the VM is 2016 Standard and domain joined. We are not able to login to the console of the VM with either a domain account or a local admin account. -When we try we get "The username or password is incorrect".-When looking at the security logs for the local logins, there are no record of an attempt with either account.-When we login via RDP, both users are able to login without issue. The RDP sessions do generate a successful event in the logs.I have done the f

License for Windows server 2016 Standard

Hi, I have question related with Windows Server 2016 Standard.

I have A server, It's hardware is 2 xeon and memory 64 GB. I want to install it with Windows Server 2016 Standard edition.

And I want to use Hyper-V and install 4 Hyper-V (Windows too). I read that it's not possible. Because Windows Server 2016 standard is only allow 2 hyper-V + 1 main server.

Is it possible I add 2 more license for hyper-V, so I will have 4 Hyper-V VM ?

or is it possible if I run 2 Hyper-V VM (windows server) with additional 2 VM (Linux) ?

Where is the Hyper V Manager, How to I start it ?

I am trying to setup an XP virtual Machine on Windows 10 Pro.

I followed the steps in Neil Peterson article of 5/9/2016.

System Requirements - done - ok

Install Hyper-V - done - ok

Create a Virtual Switch - skip

Create a Virtual Machine

Create a Virtual Machine with Hyper-V Manager

These steps walk through how to manually create a virtual machine and deploy an operating system to this virtual machine.

  Virtual Machine to bring up the New
  

Uhhhhhhhhh - this step obviously implies one knows

1) Where the Hyper-V Manager is

2) How to start the Hyper-V Manager

Isn't that odd ?

 

How to disable Hyper-V?

May I ask. Why you want to disable it

Try these steps it may work,.?

How to disable Hyper-V

1. in Control Panel : select Programs and Features.
   
2. Select : Turn Windows features on or off.
   
3. Expand Hyper-V >> expand Hyper-V Platform
   
4. and then, remove the : Hyper-V Hypervisor check box.
