Windows 10: Bluetooth Headset issues while in MS Team Calls

Hello,I am experiencing issues with my Bluetooth headset Jabra Evolve2 65 while i am in a MS Teams Meetings.The issue is as follows:- MS Team calls start stuttering while im on it with the BT headset- I cannot hear the participants as the quality drops significantly- At some point i had occasions where my internet connection dropped while in the call due to that.- it is becoming unbearable as i cannot have a single call with this headset.I cannot reproduce the issue with WIRED Jabra headset. I tested for the past 3 days and i have NO issue while using wired headset.I tested the BT Headset on

Issues with Bluetooth headphones and microphone in Microsoft teams

I have a pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 Series II headphones with inbuilt microphone which don't seem to be operating correctly with Microsoft Teams.

When I turn on the PC and headphones, I have two devices shown under Sounds > Playback - headphones and headset. The headset is also available under Sounds > Recording so I am assuming that this is the microphone element of my Bluetooth headphones.

When I start MS Teams, audio only works if the headset is selected for both Speaker and Microphone under the options in MS Teams, however the audio quality is terrible when listening with the headset as the active device.

I had resolved this by disabling the headset under Sounds > Playback, but this stops any audio working in MS teams.

I could deal with the poor quality if it was only the audio from the MS Teams call but when I set the headset as the speaker device in Teams it stops any other applications from using the headphones device.

Hi askman, and welcome to Ten Forums.

Checked some threads at reddit about your headset, and you are right. When selected as headset, bidirectional sound is enabled and the sound quality is poor.

Do you have another mic option? Like camera? You can select sound and mic option in Teams for application, an for session. Right clicking Teams icon in Taskbar (or sttings in Teams) gives you some options to select devices in general.




Per session options are available when you make a call, or join the meeting - click on three dots in the middle of bar. Check your device settings there
