  1. Ethernet not connected unless wifi is connected but ethernet still is listed as connected?...

Hello this is in regards to my Lenovo Legion T5 in which this issue started occurring just today. This is a wired connection I've had for a hot second and I've tried most solutions involving ipconfig and changing my DNS. The weird thing is the ethernet says it's connected and I can ping sites even browse edge! But I can't access Chrome or steam. That is unless I connect wireless in which then it all works again?

  2. Weird problem: Ethernet won't connect unless WiFi connects first.

I bought a new PC (an Intel NUC mini PC) and plugged my Ethernet cable for my 1Gbps fiber optic service (which worked fine on my old computer) into the port. The new computer would not connect to it. After putting in the WiFi info, it connected to that, and after awhile, lo and behold, it connected to the Ethernet. And that's what it's been doing since. I've tried having WiFi not connect first, but the computer just sits there. It will not connect to Ethernet unless WiFi is connected first.

I've checked the network adapter settings, and usually it says that the Ethernet cable is unplugged, which it's not because after a bit more time it'll say "Unidentified network," and then eventually it connects. Some days it takes longer than others. For example today, I had to do a restart because it stayed on WiFi too long. Only a couple of minutes after restarting, it switched to Ethernet.

I tried researching online, and tried numerous suggested fixes, including turning off IPv6, and a whole slew of Command Prompt commands. Nothing's worked. Any ideas here?

  3. Connected by Ethernet and WiFi

Right now my computer is connected by 1.0 Gbps Ethernet and 1.3 Gbps WiFi. Can Windows 10 take advantage of this or should I disable one these connections?

Wifi not connecting without Ethernet cable

Basically what happened before: After updating to Windows 10, my computer was not showing any network options. (The icon says "Not connected - No connections are available) Going into Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network Connections, it then says "Local Area Connection Network cable unplugged". I ran diagnostics and it said to plug in the ethernet cable to the network adaptor. So my wifi connection will not work with my laptop unless directly connected to by the ethernet cable. Wifi works fine with phones, ipods/ipads, and another laptop that was also updated to windows 10/a desktop still using windows 8.
