  2. No option to turn off HDR!!!!!!

Thanks again for trying to help me. See the thing is the monitor is HDR capable. The monitor was 100% working before HDR mode was turned on through Windows. Windows 10 offered me the option to turn HDR mode on for this monitor. I have 3 monitors (the laptop screen, another monitor connected through a USB to HDMI connector, and this monitor connect right to the laptop by hdmi). Then I turned on HDR mode for the monitor connected directly to the HDMI port and that caused the issue. Why would Windows give me the option to turn on HDR mode if the monitor wasn't compatible. It doesn't offer it for the other monitor I have that isn't compatible.

The real problem here is that I should be able to turn off HDR mode and Windows is not allowing that, as you can see in the one picture. There is no option to turn it back off.

    Any other options?

  3. HDR Calibration Option is missing

    Hello Arin Paliwal,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

There could be a few reasons why the HDR calibration option is missing when you switch to your dGPU or turn on HDR. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check if your graphics drivers are up to date.

Go to your laptop manufacturer's website and download the latest graphics drivers for your laptop's iGPU and dGPU. Install the drivers and check if the HDR calibration option appears.
    2. Check if your display supports HDR.

Not all displays support HDR. Check your display specifications to make sure it supports HDR. If it does not support HDR, the HDR calibration option will not appear.
    3. Check if your display is set to the correct color profile.

Make sure your display is set to the correct color profile. Go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings > Display adapter properties for Display 1 > Color management tab. Check if the color profile is set to the correct one for your display.
    4. Check if the display is set to the correct resolution and refresh rate.

Make sure your display is set to the correct resolution and refresh rate. Go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings and make sure the resolution and refresh rate are set correctly.
    5. Try using a different HDMI or DisplayPort cable: If you're using an external monitor, try using a different HDMI or DisplayPort cable. Sometimes a faulty cable can cause issues with HDR.
If none of the above solutions work, you may need to contact your laptop manufacturer's customer support for further assistance.

  4. i dont have the option to turn off hdr what do i do

No option to turn off HDR!!!!!!

Thank you Bernard for your response. But this did not solve the problem. I followed the steps to reinstall the Nvidia Driver and the hdr setting in Windows is still missing (no option to turn it off) and the monitor is still black and not being able to receive a signal. I have tried multiple HDMI cables also. My MSI laptop doesnt have a DVI port so i can only use HDMI. Windows Display settings wont even let me Extend the Desktop due to the monitor not being recognized. The monitor is working because I use it for my Xbox. Now if i plug in the monitor using a HDMI to USB display adapter, Windows recognizes it but not at the monitors resolution, and there is still no HDR on/off button in the Windows Display Setting for that monitor. If i update to Windows 11 will it reset the HDMI display port settings? Will everything be lost data wise?
