Windows 10: When trying to install Microsoft visual C++ 2015-2022 redistributable x64 I get an error code.

When i try to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable x64 - 14.42.34438 i get the error code "The older version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 x64 minimum runtime - 14.42.34438 cannot be removed.I do not know how to remove it,I am fairly new to the things about pcs. Any advice would help thank you very much.

Cannot install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022

I was able to fix this in quite a few computers by doing the following:

1. First make sure all VC++ redistributable packages from 2015 onwards were uninstalled.
   
2. Open "regedit" and navigate to "Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products"
   
   1. Search within all the child keys that have a product name of "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015...", "Microsoft Visual C++ 2019...", "Microsoft Visual C++ 2022...", etc.
      
   2. If you are having trouble with just the x64 version then you don't need to uninstall the x86 and its registry keys.
      
3. Try to install it again, it should work.

@Ranger1 Download, save to desktop, and try to install this... Latest Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes All-in-One May 2023 Download | TechPowerUp When finished, it should look like this. Yes, you need the older versions, for some older software.

 

Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable (x64) error 0x80070057

Installed, but not helped.

My third-party software still demands the installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable (x64).

It's up to 99 % and switching off.

When I am trying to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable (x64) manually the previously mentioned error occurs and I am assuming that is why my third-party software can not install this 2017 Redistributable.

So installing this 2015-2022 Redistributable did not work with this issue.

Any further help, please?
