Windows 10: Background Apps Flash Over Windows When Wallpaper Engine is Running

When I run Wallpaper Engine, I will frequently have background apps flashing over whatever window I have open. For example, if I have spotify open in the background and I have google focused, spotify will frequently flash over google for a few seconds before stopping. Also only happens when the application is maximized. If I have the application shrunk or in fullscreen the issue will not occur. Wondering if it's a settings issue or a graphical issue on my pc entirely, and when I turn off Wallpaper Engine, the issue stops.PC Specs:CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700XGPU: Nvidia GeForce 4070RAM: 32GBOS: Windo

Apps only run as background pocesses

Hi Carmine,

To manage background apps in Windows 10, you can follow these steps:

• Go to Start menu and select Settings.
• Click on Privacy on the Settings window.
• Scroll down to the bottom of the list and select Background apps.
• You’ll see a list of apps that have permission to run in the background with an
  On/Off toggle.

Apps running in Background

Windows 10 allows some apps to run in the background even if you never open it. This would let the applications to update itself or to get you notified with what's new with the app. However, this would consume most of your battery, bandwidth, and system
resources.

You can refer to the steps below on how to disable apps from running in the background:

1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Background apps.
   
2. Under Background apps, toggle off the Let apps run in the background switch to disable all apps that come from Microsoft Store. If you want to disable only a specific app, then you can toggle off the switch next to the
   app under Choose which app can run in the background.

Background Wallpaper

I think you did not get what I ask about wallpaper, I have mentioned that is it possible to set the background wallpaper at home screen and menu list screen not the LOCK SCREEN. I know for lock screen wallpapers can be set. In windows phone 8 we can set
only black and white background for home screens. I don't know what Microsoft has think to put such thing in mobiles. At least wallpapers supposed to be there for HOME SCREENS.
