Windows 10: Something happened and we couldn't enter your voice typing text. Wait a bit, then try again.

I get an error message when I try to use voice typing - press "Windows + H", the voice typing dialog appears and in a second another dialog appears on top of it with message "Something happened and we couldn't enter your voice typing text. Wait a bit, then try again.". It doesn't matter if you say anything or not - the error will appear anyway. This is intermittent, reboot, updates, didn't help. Was working ok, started glitching like this about two weeks or so. English is the only language on this machine. Windows 11, Build 22631.5039.

I can only use English as voice typing language. If I change to other languages (including Chinese Traditional (Hong Kong), Chinese Traditional (Taiwan) and Chinese Simplied (China)), the error "Something happened and we couldn't enter our voice typing text. Wait a bit, then try again." is prompted.

 

Are there any other voices for Narrator in the Ease of Access in Windows 10?

  Click on voices
  
• 
  And select find other voices that work with Narrator.

Voice Transcription to text software from phone recordings

Hi folks Sometimes in remote working one needs to record voice conversations -- it's then a bit tedious to go back manually, play back the recordings and transcribe by hand. Any suggestions here. IBM years ago had something similar on its Mainframes. Any ideas anyone -- the transcription if it's reasonably accurate e.g 75% of text OK would be perfectly good enough -- far quicker to edit text already in the computer than type while listening to a recording. I would like software (paid for or not) - but not an online subscription service Cheers jimbo
