Windows 10: How do I get my windows media player back?

Recently my windows media player wouldnt open any of my files so I uninstalled and downloaded the windows media player from microsoft store.I've tried system restore and other methods that have been unsuccessful such as the windows feature.Windows feature does not show the media feature pack on the list.Is there anyway to fully manually remove and re-install the media feature pack so I can get my media player working again?Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

What is the exact error message you get when you to try play files on Windows Media Player?

I suggest you to run both Windows Media Player Library and Settings troubleshooter and check.
