Windows 10: I reseted and updated my minecraft, now all my worlds are gone. Is there any way to recover...

I went to play with my friend, but we couldn't join each other. So I figured we had to update Minecraft since the problem was an outdated client. I reset and updated the app, then relaunched it. I got back on it to see all my worlds were gone. Is there any way to recover my worlds? I tried restoring previous versions but it said there were no earlier versions.

Recovering Minecraft world

I have the microsoft windows 10 version of minecraft and was having trouble joining some friends on the xbox one version. I deleted minecraft and reinstalled it to hopefully be able to join their world, but when i logged back in, my worlds were not there
anymore. I believe that i did not have the world backed up in a file. Is there any way to recover my worlds after deleting and reinstalling?

I had a minecraft world on windows 10 that I was on. My screen went black so I restarted my pc. When I turned it on and reloaded minecraft the world was gone. I have tried using the steps to recover the world bit it has not worked and I'm not sure what to
do.
