    Hi, I have a LG Ultrawide monitor connected to HP laptop with HDMI. I am using the extend the displays but the picture is stretched on the monitor. The only way I can view it not stretched is by adjusting the Aspect Ratio setting on the monitor to 'Original' but this means the picture is not widescreen leaving thick unfilled areas on both sides of the picture. Within the laptop settings the Display resolution is set to 1920 x 1080 Recommended. The option for 2560 x 1080 is not available. I have checked the drivers and they are up to date. This has just become a problem since I reconnected ev

    My LG UltraWide Monitor 34WP500 has suddenly stopped adjusting to a workable resolution

    I purchased a LG UltraWide Monitor 34WP500, and at first, utilising the provided HDMI, the screen's spoke to one another perfectly - the laptop utilised its own resolution, and the extended screen option to the LG monitor, also adapted resolution perfectly - everything looked great.

    Now all of a sudden, the LG monitor has a very stretched resolution.

    Can anyone please assist me in returning the LG monitor so that in extended display, it has an appropriate resolution?

    I recently updated to Windows 11. I have a LG 34 inch ultrawide monitor (21:9 aspect ratio, 2560x1080 resolution). Windows 11 selects the generic Pnp monitor driver, which has a max 1920x1080 resolution, so the screen is fuzzy and stretched out - really unusable. LG does not have an updated driver, Windows 11 has all updates installed has no updates available related to this driver and it will only select this as the recommended resolution.

    Is there no support for 2560x1080 HDMI monitors in windows 11?

    Cuz we all live in a retarded world where we can have 2560 x 1080 ultra wide screen in safe mode but not in regular mode!!

    But seriously how do I have ultrawide screen only in safe mode but not in regular mode?

    How does safe modes generic **** driver provide better support?

    is it becuase its stuck in 8 bit color mode?
