Windows 10: Getting Virus Scan Failed on every download Windows 11

HiI know this problem has been asked before and have tried the suggested fixes, where possible. Anyway I'll give a description of my problem.Got a brand new W11 laptop a few days ago and in the process of setting it up needed to download from Google Drive some files. Almost all of the downlaods failed, with the error 'Virus Scan Failed'. Never seen this before.I managed to download a couple of programs LibreOffice and IrfanView from Microsoft Store and Google Play, after the downloads failed from the programs' official website or recommended download site.However, downloading important spre

Downloading files - VIRUS SCAN FAILED

Hi Everyone,

I keep getting the message VIRUS SCAN FAILED when I try and download files from all sites on the internet.

However can download Windows Updates.

Any suggestions would be extremely welcomed.

Couldn't download, virus scan failed

Every time I try to download a file, (document, photo, anything) I get a message "Couldn't Download Virus Scan Failed). I never had this problem until I got Windows 11. I have changed my internet security, turned off Windows Firewall and got rid of all virus scan programs. Noting has helped. I've tried getting out of S mode and it won't even let me do that.

 

"Virus Scan Failed" Couldn't download a darn thing.

In answer to your question, It was the same continuous error. Virus scan failed. As changing that particular setting didn't do anything, still same error.
