Windows 10: Window 11 printer connection

I recently had to replace my old laptop that ran on Windows 10 with one running on Windows 11. I have two printers and Windows will not successfully run the setup disc for the old printer. My newer printer is an Epson XP-7100 and I can run the disc OK.The problem is much of the time Windows 11 will not make the connection to print and I need to re-run the setup disc.What di I do to keep the printer connected?

Have you tried the suggestions on my initial post, in response to the original poster? If you haven't performed any troubleshooting yet, here are a couple of things you can try:

• Power off, and then power on your printer to restart it. Wait for a while for it to be fully ready.
• Check your printer connection. Check your printer and make sure that it’s connected to your PC network.

If the steps didn't help, you may go through this list of suggestions to fix printer connection in Windows 10.
