Windows 10: Error 0x800f0805 when updating KB5053606

For weeks, my Windows 10 hasn't updated and throws error 0x800f0805. I’ve noticed this error appears when it tries to download update KB5053606 — it progresses for a few seconds, then cancels and shows the error. It doesn’t download or update anything else. The Windows Update troubleshooter didn’t find any issues. What can I do? Windows Update problem after disc change - Error 0x800f0805

I performed a clean boot according to the steps. On this boot I tried,

• Updating through Windows Update (threw error 0x800f0805)
• Updating through Windows 10 Update Assistant as the link suggested (threw error 0x8007001f).
