Windows 10: Trackpoint and the buttons on touchpad not working

I have had my HP Elitebook for a few months. Last night, I discovered that neither my trackpoint, nor my touchpad's left and right click buttons are working. I do not know when the issue might have begun as I always use an external mouse with my computer. I have Windows 11 and my laptop often goes through windows and/or driver updates. I have turned on automatic updates and the updates are done overnight. I believe one of those updates might have been the cause. How can I fix these problems?

Hello.



My touchpad and trackpoint are not working.



This started like a week ago, i didn't spill water or anything,

the only thing i did was cleaning with 95% alcohol,

it wasn't a lot just a little bit.



I tried everything

Installed the latest drivers.

I even installed pop os on dual boot with windows 10 , and it didn't work.

The touchpad doesn't work either in Diagnostic menu.



I don't think this is a hardware issue, but idk.

because if the touchpad got damaged at least the trackpoint would work.





Microsoft support said one of my audio drivers is causing this.



This is what it looks in device manager

it does not show in normal, but i have to enable hidden drivers





Its a error like this PS/2 Compatible Mouse This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.



Pls help me to fix this.

 

Lenovo Yoga 12 touchpad not working?

I have a Lenovo Yoga 12 on Windows 10 but the touchpad (including the ‘nipple and the ’ TrackPoint buttons’) doesn’t seem to be working at all?
The touchscreen is working fine, but if I try the touchpad there is no response at all and there is no pointer mouse shown at all?
I have checked and Windows claims that the drivers for the touchpad are up-to-date.
So, am I missing a setting that will enable the touchpad or is it a fault with the touchpad? Any help really appreciated?

 

Windows 10 Start button and touchpad won't work

I have two issues after upgrading to Windows 10:

• Touchpad doesn't work. I have seen several posts where the touchpad will not work after installing windows 10, but I have not found any solutions for my HP laptop. Has anyone found a solution?
• My start button does not work, I can only get to my files through explorer. Any suggestions?
