Windows 10: Decrypt Files not drive After Formatting Windows

i encrypted my c drive moved encrypted data from c to d drive format my c drive install new windows without saving my bitlocker certificate log in with same microsoft account on my new windows where i saved my bitlocker recovery key i have recovery key on my microsoft account can i decrypt my file using my recovery key note my whole d drive is not encrypted only files a copied from my c drive to d drive are encrypted

Decryption files on hard drive

Here's is my problem.

I want to decrypt a FILE that I have saved and encrypted in my EXTERNAL DRIVE. External Drive is not the one that was encrypted.

I can't decrypt the FILE as of the moment because the laptop that I used when I encrypted the FILE was formatted by someone. If I had only known that it was going to be formatted, I should have decrypted the FILE first. But unfortunately, it wasn't the case. So, I am now faced with a terrible problem because my current OS is not giving me the permission to decrypt it or access this said file.

I have tried looking for solutions, like, Changing the ownership and giving full permission (Properties) of the file but I still encounter the same error 0x80071771. Now If there are anybody out there who can teach me how to decrypt my file on my own, I would appreciate it so much.

No BITLOCKER involved because it's not the External Drive that I have encrypted but a FILE that is saved in the External Drive.

 

Decrypt Files After Formatting Windows

I encrypted files then I formatted my windows 10 without saving the certificate, but I have the password. How can I decrypt these files in the new windows 10 without having the certificate?

I have tried many ways to solve this issue but no one worked. Please help me with any solution or suggestion to fix this problem.

AFAIK it's still not possible to decrypt your files for free...
