Windows 10: Mystery of the Locked COM

Hi dear forum friends,I’ve encountered an issue during a project I’m working on, and I can’t figure it out. I need your help.The case:I have software hosted on an ASUS device running Windows 10, connected to a weighing device. The connection is made through a USB hub.When I connect the scale to Windows 10, I get a specific COM port assigned. However, when I restart the operating system, I stop receiving data from the scale.When I try to kill the process in Task Manager, I can’t.When I run Docklight, I see that the weighing device is sending data to a different COM port.In Device Manager, I s

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

  Go to Settings>>Personalization>>Lock Screen.
  
• 
  In the right panel, select Picture instead of Windows Spotlight.
