Windows 10: BSOD when waking from hybernation. Happens randomly.

Hi, I'm posting today to ask for help to fix a BSOD I get when waking up my laptop from hibernation! It doesn't happen frequently, but I think it's time to fix it *Smile When opening the MEMORY.DMP file in windbg I noticed the following



I'm note sure if it's the ​calibre-parallel.exe the culprit or the "Hyper-v Ethernet adapter".

I'm referring to hyper-v because there are events related to mitigation for CVE-2018-3646 for virtual machines that were not able to apply because I need to enable the core scheduler. So I run the command: "bcdedit /set hypervisorschedulertype core"

I'm running Windows 10 21H1. my system is up to date. I know that there are experts who know more than me in debugging if they can help me find the root cause. I will upload the dump file shortly. - - - Updated - - - here is the link to the dump file.

 

BSOD DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE randomly after cold boot/sleep

For the past month I have been getting random BSOD's all with driver power state failure. They happen randomly, usually within the first 5-10 minutes of cold booting or waking my computer. Steps I have taken to attempt to fix the problem:

1. Reinstalled GPU drivers/ tried old drivers
2. Fresh installed Windows 1803, still happened, then fresh installed 1709
3. Disabled Fast Boot

None of these things fixed the issue, any help would be much appreciated at pinpointing the issue. Thanks

I'm not too familiar with windbg, but the address seems to point to an allocation in a function that has to do with handling the notification of legacy smooth screen rotation. The offending executables are, as you said, calibre-parallel, and also XMind.

The line of code that it crashed on is highlighted in green:

(Code 24) Is there a particular reason your laptop would be trying to notify screen rotations?
