Windows 10: Fear of multiple Microsoft 365 purchases or duplicates

I have previously made individual purchases for Excel and I now want to purchase Microsoft 365 Personal from my employer for 69.99/year. When I click on the link it shows me what I have previously purchased but does not help me purchase the Microsoft 365 Personal . Once purchased, I need to cancel the independent Excel that I bought.
