Windows 10: Can't use tablet pen when I enable windows ink

After a recent Windows update, my Huion tablet pen exhibits the following behavior: When Windows Ink is turned on, the pen either doesn't respond or loses pressure sensitivity and click funtionality . Conversely, when Windows Ink is turned off, the pen works, but pressure sensitivity is absent.I'm not sure if the notification in the image is relevant, but I'm providing it in hopes it will help diagnose the problem.
