Windows 10: Realtek r microphone not working.

Recently i was trying to call my friend and my mic wasn't working so i tried checking if it was on and it wasn't. I tried to turn it on and it said that it was not connected. I tried literally everything. Whenever i tried to go into "properties" it opened "Realtek r audio" not the microphone. It was working just the other day.Here's what i already tried:tried updating the driver there were no drivers to update to;did "microphone troubleshooting" it said it was not connected;checked "device manager" it wasn't there nor it was anywere except the sound control panel where it was "not con

My laptop has two separate 3.5 jacks for speaker + microphone. However, the speaker jack can still operate the microphone if the headset has a built-in microphone (this is confirmed because I bought a used laptop)

i don't know since when i've had this problem, because i usually use type-c port headphones, and it works fine. I recently switched to 3.5mm type headphones

about my laptop having nahimic. i tried uninstall nahimic. then select input using realtek(R) audio microphone. however the microphone still doesn't work, so the problem I'm having is definitely not nahimic related

Driver update shows the driver name (realtek high definition audio). but when restarting the laptop, the driver still shows the name realtek (r) audio.

Is that really normal?

Hi everybody.

I'm having a problem with my microphone right now

first, my device is MSI GL65 9SDK 254VN

currently my audio driver is realtek(R) audio.




however, the microphone on my laptop, as well as on my headset, is not working. when i check with device manager it says the drivers are working properly













However, all laptop microphones as well as headphones using realtek(R) audio driver do not work, other types of headphones using other drivers work normally (tested with AKG samsung S20 headphones)

and one more interesting thing. My laptop has 2 dedicated jacks for Speaker and microphone, if I use this type of separate microphone jack. my microphone works fine on realtek(R) audio driver.

the ways I have tried are:

- reinstall windows

- update driver realtek(R) audio

- uninstall and reinstall driver (R) audio

=> however all the ways are not working.
