Windows 10: My Mic isnt working only static noises

My Mic isnt working only static noises i tried all the solution i can find in the internet still not work

mic isnt working

my brand new mic works on other devices but refuses to give a squeak on my pc. its a usb mic. ive done everything suggested in help forums and it still isnt working. ive also tried with airpods and none of the options i have worked, yet they worked elsewhere, so i know this is a windows issue. there is no error message, the mic is unmuted, the input is correct, the mic is connected, theres just static on the other side when i test it in game and in settings. mic volume is at 100% and it still isnt working. PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

built in mic - static noise suddenly a problem.

I use my built in mic a lot for meetings and training recordings. Yesterday I was working on some new training materials and began recording with the built in mic and my recording all started to have a static noise come through that's never been an issue
before. My recording from just two days ago are great so I'm not sure what has happened/changed since.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've tried the troubleshooting through device manager already and using noise suppression and neither have helped at all.

 

Win 10 PRO 64 Mic not working/ static or digital noise

Hi!

I have been having mic issues where its always in the red. I used "voice recorder" and its either static or a digital noise sound, kinda like an old dial up modem.

I tried all the suggested troubleshooting options and nothing worked.

I was messing around in Sound options and under mic, the default sample rate and bit depth was set to 32 bit, 44100 Hz.

I changed it to 16 bit, 19200 Hz and no more static or "digital noise". I can hear myself and it works like it used too.

Control Panel > Sound > Recording > Properties > Advanced. Change to a lower bit rate.

Did anyone else encounter this problem?
