Windows 10: Remote Desktop to a W11 PC needs to be retried multiple times to get in

Good day,Fully up-to-date both for Windows and Dell components Dell Desktop running W11 24H2. After providing credentials, on the first attempt it shows "Other User" or a black screen until the connection is re-tried multiple times.The user connects 1st via VPN to the network then to the PC using the IP and the Port non-standard. There are no entries in system or application logs that I can see related ro RDP. MSTSC.EXE version is 10.0.26100.1882Anything suggestions?

Okay, 2 suggestions then:
1) Clarify this further in the text this dialog shows. It is unclear now.
2) OR drop the Retry button, so we can do an Abort, then try again when conditions are met.

1. Are you using the Microsoft remote desktop app?
   

If you are using the Microsoft remote desktop app downloaded from
Microsoft store then, I suggest you to follow the steps to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.



If the issue still persists with the Microsoft remote desktop app, then you can contact the support team by going to the

link and scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on
Microsoft remote desktop support under the Publisher info.



However, if you are using the Remote desktop connection, which comes pre-installed with Windows 10, then I suggest you to please post your question in the
TechNet forum.
