Windows 10: Camera 0xA00F4244 & microphone are not working

My camera & microphone are not working anymore. I have a Dell XPS 9310. After successfully downloading and installing it, Windows keeps saying that important updates are missing. See the screenshot. I have installed the same update five times, but I keep getting the same result.

camera is not working, 0xA00F4244

My camera and microphone stopped working. I cannot find the camera anywhere on the PC. Looks like it’s disappeared. The error code is
0xA00F4244. How to sort it out?

Camera and Microphone Privacy

Hi Moustafa,

This issue occurs due to permission issue, driver issue, license for an app is out of sync with the license installed on the computer or if the app is not updated. To give permission to Camera and Microphone app, you may follow
these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Privacy.
• Look for Camera, make sure that “Let apps use my camera” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your camera as well.
• Go back to Privacy and select Microphone, make sure that “Let apps use my microphone” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your microphone as well.
