hi, i cannot click some stuff on my taskbar such as windows button search cortana internet sound and meet now. can you help

Links will not open on Windows 10 and search button not getting displayed on the taskbar.

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Windows 10. I will certainly help you.



This issue might occur if search box is disable from taskbar and also there is change in browser settings.



To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• Which browser are you using on the computer?
• Are you getting any error message while browsing the web pages?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to enable search bar and also check the web pages issues in the Internet Explorer. Check if it helps.



Step 1: I recommend you to enable the Search bar.

1. Right click on Taskbar.

2. Then click on Cortana option.

3. Select Show Search box.

4. Check if it helps.

Step 2: Also try to check the issue with Internet Explorer and access the website through it.

1. Click on Search bar.

2. Then type “Internet Explorer” without the quotes on Search bar and click on it.

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

Appreciate your efforts to work on this issue.

This issue can occur if some of the system files are not working as expected.

Suggest you to follow the steps from this article to
troubleshoot Cortana on the PC.

Note: Do not go with the ‘Reset PC’ option for now.

Method 1: Follow these steps to disable Cortana:

1. Sign-in to the PC with your Microsoft account.
   
2. In the search box at the bottom, type Disable Cortana.
   
3. Once the suggestions appear in the list, click Cortana & Search settings.
   
4. From the right section of the Settings pane, move the top button to ‘Off’ to disable Cortana from Windows 10.
   

Method 2: Follow these steps to check if that helps.

1. Launch Cortana from the search bar on the taskbar.
   
2. Then, from the left pane click the settings button.
   
3. Under "Cortana" (the first option) and slide the pill switch to the ‘Off’ position.
   

Method 3: Launch the Settings app and click on Privacy. Navigate to Speech, inking, & typing, and click Stop getting to know me. These steps will disable Cortana.

Cortana Search No longer Searches "My Stuff"

It is unusual that the "my stuff" option in cortana does not appear. Do you not see that option even after typing a search keyword in the search box?

If so, I would suggest you to try the steps below and check again.

1. Type a keyword in the search box.

2. Click the three dots on the right hand side of the search window.

3. Check if you are able to see that option.
