  1. How can I resolve the issue I experience with File Explorer when trying to access my files?

How do I restart or fix Files Explore? Because when I click on a file, it says "cannot find that item and I have to make sure I spell the name correctly". I don't have them deleted, but I'm unable to double-click on them. Even when I use the snippet tool and take a screenshot, and after the screenshots are sent into my files and I double click on them after, the same messages stating about the files pop up again. I'm not sure if this issue came when I cleaned out the entire %temps% folder or what contributed to it, but I want to know why this happened because I cannot open up any of my images

    :)

  2. File explorer

    Hi Mick,

I am sorry to know that the File Explorer is not working on the Taskbar.

I suggest you to right-click on it to unpin it from the task bar.

Then search for File Explorer in Search. Then right-click on it to Pin it to Taskbar.

If the issue persists, try the steps below.

    • Type CMD in Search. Right click on it to run as an administrator.

    • Type the following 4 commands at the Command prompt:
    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    sfc /scannow

    powershell

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    • Close the CMD window.

    • Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.
Hope this helps in resolving the issue. If the issue persists, do get back to us. We will be happy to assist you.

    File Explorer Quick Access change

    Hi,

It is quite possible that your Quick Access is broken or corrupted. As an initial troubleshooting step to try resolve the issue, kindly follow the steps below:

    • Open File Explorer and paste the following folder paths in the address bar and hit
      Enter.
      • %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
      • %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations

    • Once the folder is opened, press Ctrl+A to select all files. Right-click and select
Delete, to delete all files in the folder.

    • Do the same for both the above-mentioned folders.

    • Restart your Windows 10 computer.

If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to get back to us.
