Shutdown Itself for a Fake Update at a Specific Time Everyday

Hello! I have been having an issue for a few months now ? *or years* about my Windows shutting itself down to an update screen.Everytime 2am EST or 3am EST when time changes forwards my PC would randomly shut down to the update screen saying this may take awhile etc.So generally I let it happen, but for a good 30-45mins it just "keep updating" and always fail, says the PC wil restart, but then again, keeps trying to update itself.I went trough setting > update, and tried to install it myself, or even before the said time where it automaticly shuts down, but it doesn't do anything except

    :)

Suggestion to get a good advertisement blocker. I, personally, use Firefox as a browser and uBlock Origin for blocking ads etc and have never seen such fake alerts/warnings...

Regarding your question " I do't use windows defender for anything. Is it for malware?":

Windows Defender is in Windows 8/8.1/10 an Anti-Virus program.

    specific fake update

I have an ad blocker on. I typically do not use IE. I don't have many plug ins. I use Google Chrome.

When it first started appearing, it said I had an update for Chromium. And it would then reference Bing. The last one was Yahoo. Does that help? It does sound browser related. As I said I do not get any of the problems that are described in the link.

Apparently this pop up is common from the amount of information on the internet about it or at least common enough. I will pay attention to what is open next time it pops up

Shutdown time increases after windows update

    Hello G.Paz,

Thanks for your time and suggestion.

I have tried your recommendations but didn't decrease the shutdown timing. However, below solution worked for me :-

    "Disable Fast Startup

Reach to Power options as in previous step > Click Choose what the power buttons do > Click Change settings that are currently unavailable > Scroll down to Shutdown settings and uncheck Turn on fast startup > Click Save changes"

    Thanks and regards,
