Keyboard not typing letters

Hi Bob,

Sorry for the delay in replying. I would suggest you to try the Onscreen keyboard and check if it helps.

Please have a look at this article and check if it helps. Even though the article is for Windows 8.1, the option to enable the onscreen keyboard is the same.

Use the On-Screen Keyboard (OSK) to type

After you are able to log in, I would suggest you to change the log in option or you may follow the steps provided by Neha Gupta to update the drivers and check if it helps.

Keyboard issues... typing the wrong letters

Hi, I have been having issues with the keyboard typing the wrong letters and punctuation, as I type. I have tried numerous keyboards and get the same results.

Hi,

If you are facing issue with keyboard then try to use OSK (On Screen Keyboard) and see if it helps.

I would suggest you to use OSK (On Screen Keyboard)
for using Windows key and see the difference.
For using OSK (On Screen Keyboard) you may refer to the steps provided in the article mentioned below.

Use the On-Screen Keyboard (OSK) to type.



If issue persist you can also try to disable and enable
the onscreen keyboard and check if it works fine or not. To do so follow steps:

• Press the Win + U keys together to launch the Ease of Access Center.
  
• Then click on "Use the Computer without a mouse or keyboard" (most probably the 3rd option in the list).
  
• Then on next page uncheck the box which says "Use On-Screen Keyboard".
• Click on Apply and then hit OK.
• Restart the computer.
• After restarting the computer Check the box which says "Use On-Screen Keyboard"
  and then try to use OSK and see the difference.
