Windows 10: how can i get my mic to work on xbox game bar

I have been trying to fix my xbox game bar to work and it does but my mic will not work, I have tried many different mics and making sure I have that mic set on xbox game bar aswell as on my pc and nothing has worked. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling game bar and many of the other easier fixes and nothing has worked

Xbox Game Bar Capture Doesn't Record Mic Audio

In addition, you can also check if the Microphone for game bar is enabled under privacy settings.

1. Go to Settings (press Windows +
   I key together) > Privacy.
   
2. On the left hand pane scroll down and look for
   Microphone.
   
3. Toggle Allow apps to access Microphone
   to ON.
   
4. Under Choose which Microsoft Store app can access your Microphone toggle Xbox game bar to
   ON.
   
5. Restart the game bar.
