Windows 10: Does W 11 properties interrupt between Audacity and Terratec ext Soundcard DMX6fire USB

Dear Microsoft community, So far I have controlled Audacity, an audio software for recording music or speech, via the audio jacks line in/line out on the motherboard. So far so good. Everything works. In order to conveniently connect several devices and not have to fiddle around with the fiddly mini jacks, this should now run via the Terratec DMX 6 fire USB. This external sound card already runs smoothly on a second Win 11 computer B with Mairlist. Unfortunately, after connecting the second Terratec on PC A, which only contains drivers for W 10, nothing works between the first PC A and Audac

Terratec T5 driver instal is interrupted before finish

Hi

I've tried to install Terratec T5 driver at windows 10 after having reinstalled my PC.

Before the reinstall I had no problems. Now it gives error message - Install was interrupted before finish - and all I can do is close.

There is no other drives to get at the manufacturers site. It is the same driver for all versions of windows

Hope somebody has a suggestion.

 

USB SoundCard

I've got an issue.

I adquired a virtual sound card 7.1, and everything was ok.

Yesterday I left my laptop in 'sleep mode', and when I turned it on today, the shit hit the fan...

I connected my Speakers and when I played a YouTube video, it didn't sound.

Decided to disconnect and connect again, but nothing worked.

So I put the max level not only in YouTube, but in the Speakers (Through the USB Soundcard), and I could barely hear what it said.

I decided to check the properties and stuff like that, and everything was OK. So I don't know if it may be an issue of the soundcard or an issue of the laptop drivers or something like that...

And btw, I decided to plug the USB soundcard in another laptop, and it happened the same.

I know it may be that the error is on the USB soundcard, but...is there any other way to check it, or fix it?

As an extra fact, yesterday I decided to plug and speaker that is powered by USB, does that matter?

Can you recommend a pro- soundcard?

As an interim solution, while researching and deciding on final choise, I picked up a Terratec 7.1 PCI for EUR 1.

Installed card, installed XP drivers (onto W2K3). Didnt work. Any ideas why this is the case? Could it be because of the PCI-X slot I put it in? Are interrupts handled differently? Or is it software incompatibility (while XP drivers should work on W2K3, there could be sloppy programming blocking compenents of the install working in a W2K3 environment).

PS. USB sound card Terratec Aureon USB works fine. But I want an internal higher quality product.

If the PCI-X slot if causing a problem with soundcards (designed for PCI) then perhaps I should look at PCIe soundcards. And recommendations?
