Hi, I need to update windows as I seem to be stuck on the unsupported 21H2 version. When I try to install however it keeps giving me the error there is no space on the partition. I already tried a hard factory reset with my computer, but still have this problem on a clean version. When I check my disk space C: in the folders there should be 436GB of the 476GB of the disk still availbale. I also tried the minitool partition wizard, as some research said that would be the solution. But here it says that the entire C disk is full. How can these be different? Why can't I clear up space for the u

Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's a WD My Passport that failed on you, @tomhenry ! *Frown
I'd recommend you to try using a different USB cable with it and see if that will help your system to detect it without it disconnecting.
I'd also suggest you to go to Disk Management and see how the drive is listed there. It won't hurt to check up on the health and SMART status of the HDD by running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from the WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics.
