Windows 10: Wi-Fi driver stops working after Win 11 Enterprise 24H2, OS Build 26100.2894 update

Our app collects Wi-Fi data through a Wi-Fi 5802.11ac USB adapter using customized Realtek driver. It has worked since 2016 on Win10 until Win11 Enterprise 23H2. After 24H2 update, it stops colleting Wi-Fi data. Call function DeviceIoControl will get ERROR_GEN_FAILURE code 31 0x1F. Any possible cause from 24H2 update and fix?

Wi-Fi Option Not Showing in Windows 11

I am experiencing an issue with my Windows 11 device where the Wi-Fi option is not appearing. I have tried several troubleshooting steps, but none have resolved the problem. Could anyone please provide guidance or suggest potential solutions? Here are the steps I have taken so far:

1. Restarted my computer.
   
2. Checked for Windows updates and installed any available updates.
   
3. Verified that the Wi-Fi adapter is enabled in Device Manager.
   
4. Ran the network troubleshooter.
   

Despite these efforts, the Wi-Fi option is still missing from the network settings.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest you to follow the methods below:

Method 1: Run the Hardware and Device troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Under Hardware and sound, click on “hardware and devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

Method 2: The issue may occur if the drivers for Wi-fi are not installed or updated. I suggest you to install/update the latest version for Wi-fi drivers by following the steps below.

• Press ‘windows key + R’ and type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and press Enter.
• Expand ‘Network adapter’ and right click on Wi-fi driver and select update.
