Windows 10: Why is the cumulative updates not letting me stop them when they are automatically...

This is pissing me off. Im at a point where I can't turn my computer off without it messing things up. I was told windows 11 was great and now all its done is mess everything up for me. These cumulative updates are ruining my pc everytime they download. There are other updates i need but can't do without it messing my pc up. This is becoming ****. I'm about to hire someone to set me up on another operating system if this isn't resolved.

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

Let us try the following steps to disable the Windows update.

• 
  Press Windows key + R
  
• 
  Type Services.msc and press Enter.
  
• 
  Search for Windows Update service from the list.
  
• 
  Right Click on Windows Update from the list and select properties.
  
• 
  In Properties Window Select Startup type as Disabled and Stop the Service.
  

Windows 10 will not be automatically installing or downloading updates.

You may follow the same procedure and start the windows update service if you wish to update windows 10.
