Problems with PC suite 4.88 and latest Widcomm drivers

Have just installed new bluetooth dongle which uses Widcomm driver 4.0.1.700 and unable to connect using PC suite. The desktop keeps asking to pair with the phone about every 20 seconds even though it is alrady paired. After accepting the pairing it disconnects
and starts asking to pair again. Also when opening the Nokia connection manager highlighting the phone, and clicking on apply there are no comm ports listed, the pull down list is blank. If you try and connect the PC suite in "my bluetooth places" it says
the device canot be found even though the icon shows the green connection arrows.

I have used PC suite succesfully for the last four years with older Widcomm drivers and/or the native Microsoft drivers in sp2.

Widcomm Bluetooth software (Windows 10)

I downloaded drivers for Widcomm Bluetooth software into a folder called BCM702 (created by the download software) and then ran setup. It looked like the software was installed, but how do I run the software? It does not show up as an icon or in the
list of software in the startup menu. When I try to add bluetooth headphones as a device, Windows cannot find the headphones to pair.

 

PC Suite and Latest Widcomm Software

I have a nice new Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with the lastest Widcomm Bluetooth software on it. When I try and run the PC Suite Bluetooth paring, the widcomm stuff leaps in trying to make the paring easy, which it does, but then PC Suite gets upset and says
it cant pair, even though the phone has paired. PC Suite wants to see the response to its pairing code, but widcomm gets there first. Is there any way I can tell PC Suite that the phone is paired, and to just get on with it?
