Windows 10: INTERNAL MICROPHONE WINDOWS 10 HAVE HP DESKTOP ALL IN ONE SAYS VOICE NOT CONNECTED

Under Device Manager there is no lisiting of a Microphone No Realtek Audio device is listed in the input no device listed undeR sound no device listed in Google chrome no box PULL DOWN MENU THAT ON A LEARNING UTUBE VIDEO INDICATED A SMALL SEARCH BAR YOU WOULD be able to choose default microphone NO SEARCH BAR THAT GIVES YOU THAT OPTIONnothing appears that shows a microphone I am not wanting a headset I only want to use my INTERNAL MICROPHONE WHICH DID WORK NEAR THE SEARCH BAR THERE WAS A BIG MICROPHONE I TAPPPED ON IT ASKING A QUESTION AND IT RESPONDED NOW IT SAYS " VOICE NOT CONNECTED"

Windows 10 internal microphone don't work

This issue might occur if there is change in sound settings.

To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• When you say that "latest drivers", how exactly have you update the drivers? Is it through Device Manager?
• What is the make and model of the computer?
• Are you facing any issues with using external microphone on the computer?

setting up microphone for speech recognition

We understand your concern as you are trying to setup speech recognition on the PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• When you say that “the box is grey and unresponsive”, where you are seeing this option?
  
• Are you able to connect the microphone to the PC? (Does it show in Device Manager)

Meanwhile we would suggest you to perform these steps and check if you are able to setup the microphone.

Steps to set up a microphone: Before you set up Speech Recognition, make sure you've plugged the microphone into your PC so the following steps work.

1. Press Windows + Q or click on the Windows Search.
   
2. Enter Set up a microphone in the search box, and then tap or click
   Set up a microphone.
   
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
   
4. Once you are able to setup the microphone and then check if it’s working.

Skype unable to recognise internal microphone

I,ve recently purchased a brand new HP laptop which has a internal microphone in it. The privacy settings for the microphone and the apps allowed to have access to use the microphone has been since adjusted so that Skype has permission to use the microphone.
However, when I did the echo test, my voice could not be recorded and I went to the settings to find out that Skype did not recognise any internal microphones in my laptop as it wrote that there were no device found for microphone. Anybody knows how to solve
this issue of Skype not being able to recognise my internal laptop microphone as a device?
