Windows 10: My Alt+PrintScreen has stopped working

The PrintScreen button on my keyboard gives me a copy of the whole screen, which is what it is supposed to do. For many years I have used the Alt+PrintScreen command to get a print of the active window instead of the whole screen.Recently this has changed, so that the Alt+PrintScreen command now gives a print of the whole window.I haven't changed my keyboard, so I presume the fault is elsewhere, because the Alt key works OK with other functions, such as Alt+F4 to select the Shutdown menu.Please can you help me return the Alt+PrintScreen command to giving me just a print of the active window?Wi

Greenshot: The hotkey(s) "PrintScreen, Alt + PrintScreen, Ctrl + PrintScreen, ..." could not be registered

Adding on top of @userJT's solution -

Initially, Greenshot complained about "PrintScreen" and "Ctrl + PrintScreen" for me. It appears that "PrintScreen" was taken by OneDrive and "Ctrl + PrintScreen" - by DropBox. After you disable both, problem goes away.

Full list of steps -

1. See the error message like in the question. Panic, google, get to this page
   
2. Note the first key that Greenshot complains about.
   
   • In most of the cases it will be "PrintScreen", so let's take it as an example.
     
3. Press "PrintScreen" on your keyboard.
   
4. OneDrive will pop up, prompting to save screenshots to OneDrive. Choose "No, Thanks" there.
   
5. Click "Retry" in Greenshot's dialog, note the keys that are still taken.
   
6. Repeat steps above for keys that Greenshot cannot register until it succeeds.
   
   • In my case it was "Ctrl + PrintScreen" that was taken by DropBox.

PrintScreen stopped working

My PrintScreen button stopped working in Windows 10 and I don't know why. I also tried Keyboard on the screen utility, so I can exclude mechanical problem. It must be some software problem in Windows or with some application running background. Any ideas?

 

I deleted all my disks (D,E) and all i have is disk 0

In addition to what has been suggested:

• Press Win + X.
  

• Click "Disk Management".
  

• Maximize the Disk Management window.
  

• Press Alt + PrintScreen (or Fn + Alt + PrintScreen) to take a screenshot of that window.
  

• Paste the image into your reply window.
