Windows 10: My external ssd stopped showing up on pc but is visible in devices please help thank you

My external ssd stopped showing up on pc but is visible in devices please help thank youI plugged it in to my legion go formatted it and was working fine installed a couple games but after finishing and installing cod bo6 it wouldnt show up on desktop but can be seen on devices, recognised and "working correctly". Tried multiple ports and cables please advise

External SSD not showing up anymore

Hi,

I was moving some files in my external SSD when it completely froze and windows explorer was not responding. I restarted the task and the ssd was gone.

I turned off and on the pc, in the device manager I updated the device and scanned for hardware changes, I can see the device there, but I cannot do anything with it.

Any suggestion?

SSD & HDD installed drives not visible

Hi All,

SSD & HDD installed drives not visible after checked windows update and re-plugged wifi usb. and my microsoftware is Windows Feature Experience Pack. please suggest me how to get SSD & HDD back. and after clicked on shutdown it is taking more than 2 to 3min to getting shutdown please help me on this issue.

i followed Prompt command steps,

PC manage drive

restarted system

noting is worked.

My External Toshiba DVD Drive doesn't show up

The above issue might occur if a drive letter is not allotted to the external drive.



Please reply, did you try removing and re-plugging the driver to the PC?



Since the drive shows in Device manager, I suggest you to remove the external drive and re-plug to check if the issue is resolved.



If the issue persists, check if you are able to open the drive via
Disk management by following the steps below:

• Connect the external drive to the PC, press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Disk management option from the context menu. Check if the drive is visible in the window.
• If visible, right click on the external drive and select Open. Check if you are able to open the drive in
  File Explorer.
• Close the Disk management window, open File Explorer (Windows logo + E keys on the keyboard) and check if the changes are effective.
