  1. Too many family devices at home to update continuously ‍

Hi, please can you provide me, as a home user, with a solution to keep my family devices up to date, but without doing it manually. - Windows updates- Drivers updates- MS Store updates- WinGet updates- Office 365 updates- Edge Updates- SFC- ugghIts hectic to do this over again, twice a month across my family's devices. The MS Defender App to centrally monitor device health is a good start. I can't ask my family members to do so, as I'm the IT guy first and then a dad second.I was thinking WSUS or Intune or so but included in 365 Fam Subscription. Make it so.

    :)

    Family Safety issues

    Hi,

Configuration settings may be the possible cause why you're experiencing issues with Family when searching for the device. To assist you better, we'd like to clarify few things:

    • When you mention 2 devices on your sons account, do you want to use two devices but using one account?
    • Could you provide us a screen shot of family list devices?

In the meantime, we suggest that you check and follow the steps in this articles below on how to set up your Family:

Keep us posted if you need additional help.

  3. Removed Connected Device still shows as Connected Device in Family Safety

    Hi, Robert Lee9

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with Microsoft Family Safety. From your description, it appears that the problem might be related to data that’s been cached or stored on Microsoft’s servers, which isn’t updating correctly when you try to make changes.

I would suggest you try the following steps:

    • Clear all the cache and cookies from your browser. This can often help resolve issues related to outdated or corrupt data.
    • Make sure all the updates on your son’s new desktop and your device are installed.
    • Try accessing your Family Safety settings from a different device or browser. This can help determine whether the issue is specific to your device or browser.

Disclaimer: Your browser automatically saves temporary internet files to help pages load faster. Clearing this cache will sometimes fix website issues. Please back up all your personal files first, such as Favorites, to ensure you do not lose data.

I understand your frustration, but I hope these suggestions will be helpful in resolving your issue.

    Best Regards

Used to be able to see family devices, windows machines under Devices listed in the Microsoft Account Online in the Web Browser.

The permission for this is set for each Family member and still can be toggled under each Organiser.
