Windows 10: Kinect microphone not recognising

I've been having trouble with my kinect cycling on and off, I recognise it's due to the microphone not being recognised in device manager or across any settings. Any solutions?

To answer your query, Kinect for Windows is only programmed to work on Windows computers. Xbox consoles like Xbox One and Xbox 360 can use Xbox Kinect specifically programmed for each of them.

Xbox 360 kinect stopped working

You may try to isolate the issue by performing basic troubleshooting that we have below.

Suggested troubleshooting:

1. Try to connect your Kinect on Xbox 360 Console and check if it working fine. (Kindly install update if prompted.)
   
2. Keep your Windows PC and Xbox apps and Kinect updated.
   
3. Restart device.
