Windows 10: Windows bitlocker locked out

Hi, I was having trouble with internet connection not working on my Asus Zenbook UX433F laptop and not able to figure it out so tried to enter diagnostic mode, however in this process I have entered a nightmare. In the process of rebooting my windows pin and password were somehow reset so I could no longer login. When trying to get around this it asked for my Bitlocker recovery key, which I have now learnt was unfortunately likely affiliated to my university email address which is now closed and I do not have access to. I have tried logging into the university windows account to change the ass

Bitlocker frequently locking computers

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately these suggestions don't really fit our needs. We want to use BitLocker and don't want to disable it. The problem we have is that it locks some of our computers from time to time. Ideally we will make use of BitLocker but not have it blocking our computers.

I have tried:

1. Turning off BitLocker
   
2. Installing all Driver and Windows Updates
   
3. Turning BitLocker back on again
   

Maybe this will help. We will wait and see.

 

Windows 8.1 PRO unable to unlock Bitlocked drive

As you can see BitLocker Option is not highlighted for selection. It's like Windows does not even recognize this drive as a locked drive. And this drive does contain lot of Data.
