You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

To which "this" are you referring?
- If you are following the tutorial Bree suggested in the very first reply to your question then what you need to do at each step is explained in detail. So which step are you at?
- If you are following a different procedure then state what it is and which step you are at. If, for example, you are trying to manually enable the Built-In Admin as suggested in post #11 then that account has no password.

How to password individual drives without truecrypt?

I'm looking to password a few drives, but I don't want to do full encryption (as truecrypt offers), because I will be using them for gaming and in a high performance environment. I've read about some passwords that prevent any reads and writes to the drive, and that sounds like a good idea, because I'm not worried about scientists attempting to see what is on my HDDs. I will be having multiple partitions as well, if that matters.

The only thing I care about is that an average techie can't access my drives without the passwords, assuming they stole them from my system.

Any suggestions?
