Local Security Authority protection turned off - can't enable it.

    Hi there,

There is a warning symbol on my taskbar's Windows Security icon, and when I go into my security settings it says that my device's Local Security Authority protection is off, but it doesn't provide an option to enable it again.

It seems this is a common problem, so I tried following the steps provided to enable it:

    1. Open the Registry Editor (RegEdit.exe) and navigate to the registry key that is located at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa.
    2. Set the value of the registry key to:
      1. "RunAsPPL"=dword:00000001 to configure the feature with a UEFI variable.
      2. "RunAsPPL"=dword:00000002 to configure the feature without a UEFI variable (only on Windows 11, 22H2).

But the problem is, when I click on the Lsa key, there is no "RunAsPPL" option to right-click on in order to configure.

    Please help.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Internet provider security for windows 10

I'm not familiar with 'wow internet provider' and don't know what kind of 'internet security' you're paying for...

But, IMO, that shouldn't be necessary.
